I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
